A custom-built web app designed to replace Bridport FC’s cookie-cutter football website with a modern digital hub for the club. The new platform brings fixtures, results, teams, news, match reports, events, galleries, sponsors, fundraising and the club shop together in one place. Built as a Progressive Web App, it delivers an app-like experience across mobile and desktop while giving the club a flexible platform they can easily manage and grow.

As a club, your greatest assets aren't just the players on the pitch, but the people behind the scenes. This web application was designed to bridge the gap between community spirit and match-day logistics, replacing messy spreadsheets with a streamlined, mobile-first management system. The Challenge Most semi-pro and local football clubs rely on a rotating cast of volunteers. Communication is often fragmented across WhatsApp groups and emails, leading to double-booked roles or, worse, unfilled positions on match days. The club needed a centralized hub to recruit, track, and reward their "off-pitch" squad. The Solution: Key Features 1. Intuitive Match-Day Sign-ups Volunteers can log in and view upcoming fixtures. Each fixture lists specific "Jobs" with a set number of slots available. Media Team: Handling social media updates or photography. Commercial: Selling 50/50 draw tickets and programs. Logistics: Pitch-side marshalling and match day tasks 2. The "Gate-Check" Module Security and gate staff have a dedicated view. On match day, they can see a real-time list of "Approved Volunteers." This allows for a smooth entry process—checking names off a digital manifest—ensuring only authorised helpers get ground access without the need for physical badges or paper lists. 3. The Rewards & Points Engine To encourage retention, the app features a Gamified Points System. How it works: Points and badges are automatically credited to a volunteer’s profile once their attendance is confirmed at the gate. The Impact: The club can generate reports to see who their "MVPs" are, allowing them to send automated thank-you emails, or rewards, or invite top-tier volunteers to end-of-season awards. Technical Approach Responsive Design: Since volunteers are often on the move, the UI was built with a Mobile-First philosophy using clean, high-contrast elements that are easy to navigate in bright sunlight or rainy stadiums. Real-time Sync: The gate team’s list updates instantly as people sign up or cancel, ensuring no one is left standing at the turnstiles.

History on the Move’s qualified and experienced educational consultants have been devising and delivering history workshops, talks, and resources supporting life-long learners for over two decades. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to create a new responsive website to showcase the services on offer. The project involved transferring the domain to a new provider and hosting the site.

We designed and delivered a bespoke website for The Lyme Bay Café & Bar, a coastal dining venue overlooking the Jurassic Coast in Lyme Regis, Dorset. The aim was to create a modern online presence that reflects the café’s relaxed seaside atmosphere while making it easy for visitors to explore menus, book tables, and discover upcoming events.

We were commissioned to redesign the website for this Bridport-based tool hire and sales business in Dorset called Fowler Sales and Hire. Their previous site had been created in-house and was ready for a refresh to improve both its appearance and functionality. The new website delivers a cleaner, more modern look, improved navigation, and a better user experience across all devices. The homepage also features an embedded Facebook feed, allowing visitors to see the latest updates and promotions in real time.

We were asked for advise on SEO and helped to improve page speed. The results were immediate and we have since carried out some additional technical work on the site backend
